I believe that a good photograph should be timeless, original, and beautiful. Are you a modern soul, but also a sucker for nostalgia? What drives you? Do you love a certain decade? By taking a candid yet artful approach, I’m here to capture your love, your milestones, and everything in between.
Cheesy can be cute, but I prefer the real and genuine moments of life. One of my favorite things in the world is looking at a picture from a different time period and feeling all of the emotions and memories that it holds. Those are the kind of photographs that I want to create for you.

Hi!
I’m May (ma-i), the photographer.
I worked my way through school at a local restaurant here in Raleigh, North Carolina, which is where my love for food and beverage began. Yes, outside of photography, food and drinks are one of my greatest passions. I’ll most likely ask you where you’re going to eat after our session, and if you don’t know the answer I’ll probably recommend all my favorite bars and restaurants around town. Health and fitness are super important for me, too. Whether its running at Umstead or weight lifting at the gym, staying on top of my fitness makes me feel my best. Outside of that, I’m very proud of the Mexican background that I come from (don’t forget that I speak Spanish; it was my first language!), traveling is one of my favorite things ever, and I love reading a good book after a long work day.
Upon graduating from college I knew that I didn’t want a “conventional” job, so I took it upon myself to perfect the craft that I already loved, photography, in order pursue creating the business of my dreams. That’s how I got to where I am today.
My inspiration comes from people and places, so I hope to learn about YOU, too so that we can make our sessions as genuine and unique as they deserve.
